But they should add a special menu where you can check your Titles and you can change them with the one your wearing atm.
Arrr and the badges sound fun ^^ they can be seen on your armor
(only 2 or 3 otherwise you whill fall because of the weight)
Maybe some titles that you can only make yourself only 12 digits long like
Dark Alchemist <---- yust an errr you know what i mean.
But they whill cost you tons of money

They had a similar thing in DAOC.. but i mainly used it as a resource.. like if i needed something crafted i'd search for a "legendary weaponsmith" .. not much crafting in GW.. but i'd be cool if they impliment itby having someone w/ royalty, a NPC (to tie it into the plot) dub the person their given title.. just a thought.

I think 'This will save the game' is a bit much, but it's a cute idea.
A few suggestions:
Hayseed-For characters with X% of character xp being earned by farming
Lifemender-For X points of health healed in-game
Aegis of Dwayna-For Prots (Come on people, they deserve it. A good prot
monk is rare....)
etc....

While someone has alread said it, i would completely sign it if:
--Only one title was useable at a time
--The title could be shown optionally like the cape now
The Acolytes comment about aura's for certain accomplishments would be really cool too.

Maybe some of those stats showing would be good, like your skills your using, or the amount of times you quit mid-mission.

Not really, if it showed time played on the account/character... If they'd been playing two days total, I'd take them in my group just to help them.

While I like the idea in principle, I am afraid I have to disagree with it. The reasons? Well, pretty much what has already been said. . .
Your on the thunderhead keep mission. Since you have gotten through the game before, you have a "completed game" title. You start a group. . .and only let in people who also have that title (you personally might not do this, I do not know you.) Suddenly, a rift exists between experienced players and new players. New players have a horrible time finding groups, as most people seem to be repeat players, and who wants that stupid newb in the group?
You go into competition arenas. Someone there says "sorry, I don't play with n00bs" and leaves, because you do not have X amount of kills yet. There would be an increase in griefing.
You try to find a farming group for SF, but because you do not have 10 greens in your inventory, and so lack the title, you are shunned. After all, people only want "pro" farmers in their groups.
The list goes on, but I am sure you don't need it to, as you can see were this is going. It will separate players, and not in a good way.

i agree with him this wouldn't work cause most ppl are kinda prickish when it comes to picking groups and thinking there better than everyone els a Title doesn't mean anything

I agree with what you guys are saying, but I dont think that means you have to rule the idea out totaly. I think one suggested was pyromancer for having x amount of fire skills, I dont think stuff like that would have a negative impact on the game. Titles like legendary for completed game is a bad idea, I'll give you that, but I still think this idea is pretty cool.

yeah i agree there shouldn't be titles for x kills/x amount of time in-game etc.
But the ones that are for x% of *skill type* collected would be fun. Especially for those of you who get all skills for all profs on one char. Imagine the title "Guy needs a life"

Not to come in with a lighter and gas, but do you know how much trouble this will cause ?
" WE ONLY WANT -insert title here- ELES IN OUR GROUP "
Also the spam.. ooi. For quests people wouldn't shutup about it. I can only imagine what Sorrows Furnace would look like after that.
Oh yes, then comes in the jealousy, and the name calling of in-experienced players who don't have a certain rank. Even if they haven't beaten the game, they should still be treated equally. I'm afraid the result of this will have alot of new players quitting since they will never get into groups~
Eye candy is good at times~ But mass chaos resulting from it is not quite so nice.

Just so everyone knows, Gaile has confirmed that PvE players will get something comparable to PvP rank/fame emotes.

At least they will be just emotes... Hah, coming into town then having a mob of people doing the same emote to compete. Funny.

good idea this is.
lol kinda reminds me of the tactics ogre emblems, dam those were fun.
the best one would be "pirate"- rant at people for 1 hour or more then run after them and harass them while screaming AAAAAARRRRRRRRRR, extra points if you harass women and when youre selling stuff say "meet at booty place."
hehe, poop deck.
